Tee Da is not just another pretty fragrance lamp. Every La Tee
Da effusion lamp is also a unique piece of hand blown art glass.

characteristic of hand blown art glass. La Tee Da fragrance
lamps are thick wall art glass weighing up to 1&1/2 pounds! The
heavyset metal vented crown that sits atop each La Tee Da
fragrance lamp weighs up to 4&1/2 ounces!
Breif History:
Throughout mid 19th century
Europe catalytic burner lamps, as they were called back
then, were commonplace in medical clinics, hospitals, and
other institutions that required a high degree of air purity and quality. In this time in Germany, holistic
chemist Justus Von Liebig discovered a catalytic conversion
process that produced organic chemical compounds by
the oxidation of primary alcohols. These organic chemical
compounds are known to destroy many kinds
of germs, bacteria, allergens, foul odors, and other
impurities in the air.
La Tee Da fragrance lamps work
by converting fragranced fuel (alcohol) into anions (negatively
charged ions) and ozone, via the catalyzing platinum imbeded
ceramic burner stone. The ozone produced by the heated
burner stone binds with airborne particles and odors that
are not normaly a part of pure air, and eliminates them from
your home.
Recognizing the health benefit, the French
began to produce what was then known as the Catalytic Burner
(effusion lamp) for domestic use. The French then began to
add liquid fragrance to the fuel used in their Catalytic Burners.
They discovered not only did the Catylytic Burner sanitize the
indoor oxygen, it rapidly disbursed
the added liquid fragrance throughout large areas of living space.
The Catalytic Burner, or Fragrance Lamp as they are known today,
are a fixture in homes across
Europe.
How La Tee Da Effusion Lamps
Operate
La Tee Da fragrance lamps use their exclusive
scalloped platinum imbeded ceramic burner stone. This new
scalloped design nearly doubles the heating surface of the
ceramic burner stone, maximizing air purification and fragrance
dispersion. Embeded within the ceramic burner stone is the precious
metal platinum. Effusion fragrance (precise blend of
alcohol and fragrance) travels up the wick to the platinum
imbeded scalloped burner stone. Effusion fragrance is absorbed
by the porous burner stone. Light the stone, allow it to burn
for 3 minutes. The 3 minute burn time heats the platinum within
the burner stone. After the 3 minute burn time, blow out
the flame. The catalytic conversion process has begun. Air is
being purified, bacteria and odors are neutralized.
FAST The platinum within the burner stone is now heated
and will remain hot, fueled directly by the effusion
fragrance traveling up the wick to the burner stone.
Safe........ No continious flame! Every passenger car
produced in the U S today is equipped with a catylitic
converter to reduce noxious engine emissions. La Tee Da
effusion lamps use similar catylitic conversion to remove
offensive and unhealthy elements in the air, and replace them with
heavenly aroma.
